- Adoption type: Open or semi-open. Creating a stable, unconditional foundation of love is our highest priority. We believe that honoring a child means embracing their entire journey, including a meaningful and respectful relationship with their birth family and their personal history.
About Us
Our story began when Tim was stationed with the Air Force and Kelsey was completing her nursing degree. We met through mutual friends from church, which felt incredibly fitting since our shared faith has always been the foundation of our lives. We fell in love, married, and soon after, moved for Tim’s next military assignment.
It was during that first assignment that we became parents to our beautiful baby girl, Elika-Rose. Throughout our time in the military, we developed an incredible community of friends through our church and the service, many of whom became just like family to us.
Tim later had the opportunity to become a Weapons Officer. After he completed the rigorous training program, his career eventually led us to an assignment where he could teach as an instructor for the program. While stationed there, we were blessed with our baby boy, Caleb.
Both of Kelsey’s pregnancies were considered high-risk due to a blood-clotting disorder, which required blood thinners and created an increased risk during delivery. Between our two children, we also experienced the devastating heartbreak of several miscarriages. Although those losses were deeply painful, we continued to trust in God’s care. We saw His faithfulness and protection through the safe arrivals of Elika-Rose and Caleb, and we believe He will bring our adoptive baby into our family in His perfect timing.
Adoption has been on our hearts since we were first dating. Even back then, we talked about our shared desire to adopt someday, and we feel incredibly blessed that the time has come to take this step.
We are deeply rooted in a church community where adoption and foster care are a natural part of daily life. Having helped care for our friends’ foster and adoptive children, we have seen firsthand the immense joy it brings. We have a deep heart to provide a stable, loving home, and we would be profoundly honored to be chosen as the family for your precious baby.
Ephesians 1:3-6 says:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.”
This passage has shown us God’s heart for adoption. Through Jesus, God chooses to bring His children into His spiritual family. Seeing adoption reflected in God’s own heart has encouraged us to follow His example and open our family and our home through adoption.
Our Promise to You
Dear Birthparent’s,
Thank you for considering looking at us to be your baby’s adoptive family. We want you to know that we would love to have an open adoption, and it would be an honor for us to meet you and, if you desire, to stay connected throughout your child’s life. We also understand that every situation is different. If you are not interested in meeting or staying in contact, we will absolutely respect your privacy and your wishes.
Our door will always be open to you, and regardless of the level of openness you choose, we will continue to keep you and your baby in our prayers. We are grateful for the trust involved in making such an important decision, and we would be honored to be considered as your baby’s adoptive family.
Dear Precious One,
We cannot wait for you to be a part of our family! We have been praying for you for a long time and know that God will place you in our hands in His timing. We are blessed to know that God created you to be who you are. That is, His, child of God, whom we are blessed to be able to care for you. Even though we have not met yet, you give us so much joy because you are a blessed child whom we love from the bottom of our heart. We know that in life there are many adventures that await us that can be up or down, but in those times, we want to be there for you as your forever family. We want to speak life and joy over you and teach you about God’s promises for you, so you may know that He is there for you always. You are a blessing to our family and we are excited to share a love like God’s who loves unconditionally and to be your provider and comforter.
With great affection,
Timothy, Kelsey, Elika & Caleb
