Executive Director

Job Description
Summary of Position Responsibilities:
The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership to ensure the effective operation of the agency toward the fulfillment of its mission. This includes providing leadership and management of the staff and volunteers, overseeing the agency programs, fundraising, budgeting, marketing, community outreach, and relations with churches and individuals who support CFS and its programs. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:

Management level experience, including two years of experience in agency or similar environment.

Professional counseling licensure is preferred (LPC, LCPC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.).

Must agree with and accept the Christian Family Services Affirmation of Faith.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Works closely with the board in providing vision toward the development, planning, funding, and staffing of new and ongoing programs to support the agency’s philosophy and goals

Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to stay informed of current trends and issues facing the community we serve and other agencies with like missions as ours and informs and works with the board toward leadership in addressing these areas, including possible new services and programs

Oversees the business and financial affairs of the agency and fiscal management including accounting, budgeting, internal controls, and timely reporting (monthly to the board and annually to supporters)

Oversees the direction, planning and marketing of all fundraising activities in support of agency programs and activities and to foster community building therein

Coordinates efforts of the professional and administrative staff members and the board in the recruitment, development, and oversight of staff positions

Recommends and coordinates selection and training of new board members

Ensures that management positions are empowered with the necessary tools, training, and support to do their jobs, and encourages those managers to provide the same for all staff
