Chris and Beth
- Home: Illinois
- Number of Children currently in the home: 2
- Hobbies: As a family, we love making everyday moments special, whether we’re baking together, playing outside, traveling to new spots, or cuddling up at home. We can’t wait to share these activities, and discover new ones, with another child.
- Ethnicity preference: Because our family, community, and cultural environment are primarily Caucasian, we feel a child of Caucasian background would adapt most easily and feel the strongest sense of belonging. Our priority is ensuring any child who joins our family grows up feeling fully supported, connected, and valued.
- Age preference: Newborn to 12 months
- Adoption type: We are open to closed, open, or semi-open adoption. Our focus is always on creating a loving, stable home and honoring the child’s connection to their story and birth family.
Hello & Thank You
Thank you for taking a moment to learn about our family. We know you are walking through something emotional, brave, and deeply meaningful. Even without knowing you yet, we admire your strength and the love you have for your child.
We are Chris and Beth, married for 13 years, and blessed with two boys, Logan and Lucas. Adoption has been on our hearts for as long as we can remember, and the possibility of welcoming another child into our family fills us with hope and gratitude.
Every day, we pray that you find peace, comfort, and clarity as you make the decisions that feel right to you. If we are chosen, your child will always know that their story began with love, your love and that your courage helped shape their life in the most beautiful way.
About Us
Our story began in a crowded high school cafeteria when Beth spotted Chris across the room, a familiar, comforting face in the middle of the chaos. What started as a simple glance turned into a friendship, and that friendship grew into a love that has carried us through many chapters of life. Our journey hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve taken every step together. Through challenges, victories, heartbreak, and healing, we’ve learned that real love is patient, resilient, forgiving, and worth holding onto.
Seventeen years later, we are still choosing each other every day, still laughing, still learning, still growing. And now, we’re ready to open our hearts and our home to another child, adding another beautiful piece to the story we’re continuing to build as a family.
Our family is rooted in love, kindness, and the values we were raised with. Chris grew up in a small town with grandparents who taught him hard work, steady love, and compassion. His calm presence, sense of humor, and gentle strength make our home feel grounded and safe. He works in mental health as a Security Therapy Aide, a role that requires patience and empathy—qualities that shine in the way he parents our boys. Whether he’s playing music, riding his motorcycle, or exploring new places, he brings warmth and adventure wherever he goes.
Beth grew up as an Army child, moving often and learning how to adapt and form strong connections. Teaching has always been her passion. After earning several degrees in education, she now teaches fourth grade and pours her heart into her students each day. At home, she loves crafting, painting, swimming, and making memories with our boys. She leads our family with gentleness and joy, and she looks forward to sharing her love of creativity and imaginative play with another child.
Our boys, Logan and Lucas, bring so much light into our home. Logan, our “13 going on 40,” is thoughtful, wise, and kind. He’s part of the BETA Club and loves helping others. He lights up around younger children and talks often about reading to his new sibling and teaching them everything he knows. Lucas is our little ray of sunshine full of energy, imagination, and laughter. Whether he’s building with Legos, drawing, swimming, or giving his famously big hugs, he pours his whole heart into everything. He talks about becoming a big brother with pure excitement.
We live in a warm, family-friendly neighborhood filled with sidewalks, parks, and families who truly look out for each other. Our days are often spent walking together, swimming at the community pool, visiting the library, or playing outside. Our extended family is close-knit and incredibly supportive, and they cannot wait to welcome another child with open arms.
At the core of everything we do is a simple promise: to create a home where children feel safe, loved, and cherished, a place full of laughter, connection, adventure, and memories that last a lifetime.
Our Promise to You
If chosen, we promise your child will grow up surrounded by unconditional love—safe, supported, and encouraged every step of the way. They will be celebrated for exactly who they are and raised with faith, compassion, and kindness. We will keep them connected to their story, their roots, and to you.
Your child will always know that their life began with courage and selfless love. Your place in their story will always be honored. We look forward to welcoming another child into our family—to love them, guide them, support them, and watch them grow into who they are meant to be.
Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family and our hearts. We know this journey carries so much weight, and it means more than we can say that you would consider us. Whatever choice you make, we hold you in our thoughts with respect, kindness, and gratitude. Your strength is extraordinary, and we wish you peace and support in every step ahead.
