- Hobbies: We love to be in nature - it helps remind us that we aren't the center of this world and that God has done miraculous things over a very long time. We also love listening to live music, being active via sports or walking around our neighborhood, cooking (while listening to music and dancing in the kitchen), playing board games, listening to audiobooks, and drinking a good cup of coffee with friends and family.

- Adoption type: We prefer an open adoption and want to work together to allow a comfortable situation for all involved.
About Us
We met later in life, but funnily enough we crossed paths several times unbeknownst to us at concerts and teacher conferences. We even found out that Alexis and Matt’s mom (who are 31 years apart) graduated from the same high school and had the same Chemistry teacher! Crazy.
We’d like to believe that these were little breadcrumbs laid out before us to show that we’d eventually meet (in 2021). We are ready to work as a team to raise a child to be a wrecking ball for good in this world and expand our family through the miracle of adoption.
From Matt – Alexis is one of the most thoughtful people I have ever met. She shows up in meaningful ways, and cares deeply about people. She is a loyal friend and does well to rally around “her people” when needed.
She is a fantastic educator, fostering an environment where students feel challenged, supported, and encouraged to take risks, do their best, and work hard toward their goals.
Alexis is passionate about all things health, fitness, plants, cooking, and adventure. She loves to find new recipes, workouts, activities, and projects to do around the house. She is going to be a fantastic mother, and I know this child will be dearly loved and cared for!
From Alexis – Matt genuinely cares about people. He has this natural ability to make you feel seen, heard, and important no matter if you’re his best friend or the cashier checking him out at the store. He loves connecting people to other people, and he has been doing this most recently by playing pickup basketball or playing golf.
For the past 13 years, his compassion for people carries over into his work as a middle school math teacher and in the Fall of 2026 he’ll serve students as a high school counselor. Matt is truly in his element when he is mentoring and empowering kids to do hard things, and he makes them feel seen and heard while doing it.
At home, he is the best partner I could ask for by consistently taking initiative with household chores and projects.
We value genuine, meaningful connection with people. “People may forget what you said, people may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” We strive to create a space where people feel seen, known, and loved, doing our best to encourage and support them along their life journey. Whether it is a simple hello, a hand-written note, a conversation over coffee, help moving a couch, or anything in between. We care deeply about spreading the love of Christ to the world through our careers in education, the relationships we make, the activities we are involved in, and the people we encounter.

We cannot pretend to know all the emotions that you have experienced over the course of this pregnancy. It is not lost on us that this is a very hard choice.
We thank you for considering all your options for this child and appreciate you taking the time to learn more about us. We are very excited to start our family, and we want you to know that no matter what your final decision is, we believe that it will be the right choice for you and your child.
