Your support makes a difference! At the beginning of the week, I helped our ConnectCare coordinator, Sarah Gentry, take some furniture to Tina*. Tina had to move to St. Louis from another state because of domestic violence. She, along with her three children moved here knowing no one. She moved into a domestic violence shelter and they referred her to CFS. Sarah walked beside her to help her get adjusted to the new town with her three children. Her youngest child was welcomed into one of our foster homes and Tina and her two children were able to find an apartment to get settled in.
She was so grateful for CFS walking beside her and helping her to rebuild. We will continue to help her as she adjusts to her new home town.
She is now working at a hospital and going to school to train to be a psychiatric nurse. She is settled in her new apartment, getting furniture, working and going to school to start her new life. She was so grateful for CFS walking beside her and helping her to rebuild. We will continue to help her as she adjusts to her new home town. Tina now has hope. Thank you for helping us instill hope.
February has come and gone! What a busy month it has been! With “Marriage Month,” CFS has hosted 3 marriage seminars, put out several marriage posts to benefit marriage relationships and reminded couples that MARRIAGE IS HARD, BUT IT WORKS! Thank you for your support that allows us to help marriages!
The spread of the COVID-19 virus has disrupted our activities for the near future. But we are hopeful that once this current crisis passes we will reschedule these events and celebrate all CFS has done to help people through this time.
