Directors Message
Welcome to our first e-newsletter! We are making a lot of efforts to change things to help us to communicate for effectively to you. Much of that involves doing more digital communication. In place of our printed newsletters, we will be sending a monthly e-newsletter with information about what is going on at CFS. Also, when we receive a donation, we will email you a receipt acknowledging your gift. We hope this will not only communicate more effectively to you but to also save money on printing and postage that can be used in serving more children and families.
People have needs and will continue to need someone to walk beside them as the navigate what life brings their way. We will be there for them.
It is hard to believe that 2019 is now in the history books! You try to put the life brakes on and things just don’t seem to slow down! At CFS, that is the case. There are some things that never change. People have needs and will continue to need someone to walk beside them as the navigate what life brings their way. We will be there for them. Whether it is marriage or family issues, unplanned pregnancies, adoption, or parenting support, people should not do this alone. Some things are hard to navigate because of bad decisions and some because of situations that they had no control over. Either way, CFS is here to help those that in need.
As we look back at 2019, it would be easy to get overwhelmed by the needs of those in our city. We have so many stories. We thank you for your support so we can help the children and families in need. Without you, we could not be God’s hands and feet in this community.
One area that we have seen an increase in needs is with parenting support. Many young moms are choosing to parent and we are trying to walk beside them and be a wise resource for them. Please take some time to read the story highlighting our parenting support services.
February is Marriage Month. We have several things we are doing to enrich marriages this month. We will have several articles on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Take some time to read them. Also, watch for seminars near you! On February 11th, we will have our mini-marriage seminar at Llywelyn’s Pub in Webster Groves entitled: “5 Key Ingredients for a Delicious Relationship”.
